My Background

I have wide-ranging experience to help you meet your goals, coupled with exceptional academic preparation. My work helping people began over twenty-five years ago, assisting mothers and their children with developmental delays. Since that time I have been employed in a variety of healing positions including: family and individual therapist, crisis counselor, school and preschool therapist, cardiac rehabilitation specialist, teacher, court-appointed guardian, and caregiver.

Shame, fear, and money often keep people from therapy. I provide caring, thoughtful, confidential therapy with payment options.

I am a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a national certified counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors. I am affiliated with the Seattle Community for EFT and CounselingSeattle.com. I am a member of the Seattle Counselors Association and the Washington Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

I am an approved supervisor for couples therapists through the International Center for Excellence in EFT. I am an approved supervisor for marriage and family therapists and licensed mental health counselors in the state of Washington. I am also an approved supervisor for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

I have been a guest lecturer and instructor at Antioch University's couples and family therapy program. My professional opinions have been highlighted on ABC news and in the Seattle Times. I was a guest reviewer for Greenberg and Goldman's book Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy: The Dynamics of Emotion, Love, and Power.

As an undergraduate I majored in psychology at the University of Oregon and human services at Monroe community college, and I hold a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts. I have an MA in clinical psychology with a specialization in couples and family therapy from Antioch University with additional doctoral level coursework in child development and psychopathology from the Washington School of Professional Psychology. I also have an interdisciplinary MA from the State University of New York, where I researched mental imagery, neuromuscular reintegration, and kinesiology.
